What Are Web Push Notifications?

Web push notifications are instant alerts that pop up on your device — even when you don't have our website open. Think of them like text message notifications, but for web apps.

When Trump posts on Truth Social, you'll get an immediate notification on your desktop or phone. No need to keep checking your email or refreshing the dashboard. The alert comes to you automatically.

Why Enable Web Push?

Instant Alerts

Zero delay. Email is great, but push is faster. Know the moment it happens.

Works Everywhere

Appears on desktop taskbars or mobile notification centers without keeping the tab open.

Complements Email

Use both. Get the instant alert via push, then read the full email later.

Before You Start

You'll need a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari) and our site open.

Note: If you're using a work computer or managed device, check with IT first. Some organizations disable push notifications for security reasons.

How to Enable Push Notifications

1

Go to Your Dashboard

Log in to your account at followtrumpstruth.com and navigate to the Notifications section.

2

Enable Browser Push

In the Browser Push Notifications section, toggle the switch to enable it.

3

Allow in Your Browser

Your browser will show a permission prompt. It looks different depending on which browser you're using:

Chrome & Edge (Windows)

A small popup appears at the top.

Click Allow to enable notifications.

Firefox

Popup appears in the address bar area.

Click dropdown and select Allow Notifications.

Safari (Mac)

System dialog appears asking permission.

Click Allow.

iOS (iPhone)

Requires iOS 16.4+. Must Add to Home Screen first.

  1. Tap Share button
  2. Select "Add to Home Screen"
  3. Open App & Enable
4

Verify with a Test Notification

Once enabled, look for the Send Test Notification button in your dashboard settings.

Clicking this should instantly send a "Test Alert" to your device. If you see it, you're all set!

Platform-Specific Notes

Windows

Push notifications appear in the bottom-right corner of your screen (notification center). You'll hear a sound and see the alert even if your browser is minimized.

Tip: If you don't see notifications, check Windows notification settings. Go to Settings → System → Notifications and make sure notifications are enabled for your browser.

macOS

Notifications appear in the top-right corner via the Notification Center. They work even if your browser isn't the active app.

Tip: Check System Settings → Notifications and ensure your browser has notification permissions enabled.

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

Web push on iOS requires Safari and works starting with iOS 16.4 or later. You must "Add to Home Screen" first.

How to Add to Home Screen: In Safari, tap the Share button, scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then enable Open as Web App and tap Add.

See Apple's official guide

Tip: Check Settings → Notifications → Safari to ensure notifications are enabled.

Android

Web push works great on Android with Chrome or Firefox. Notifications appear in your notification shade just like app notifications.

Tip: If notifications aren't showing, check Settings → Apps → [Your Browser] → Notifications and make sure they're enabled.

Disabling Push Notifications

Changed your mind? No problem. You can disable alerts in two ways:

From your dashboard

  1. Go to Notifications settings
  2. Click Disable Push Notifications

From your browser

  • Click the lock icon (or info icon) in the address bar
  • Find "Notifications" in the permissions list
  • Change it to "Block"

You can always re-enable them later.

Troubleshooting

I don't see the permission prompt

Possible reasons:

  • You already blocked notifications for this site in the past
  • Your browser has notifications disabled globally
  • You're using private/incognito mode (notifications usually don't work there)

Solution: Check your browser settings and look for "Site Settings" or "Permissions." Find followtrumpstruth.com and change the notification permission to "Allow."

I clicked Allow but notifications aren't showing up

Try these steps:

  • Try the "Send Test Notification" button in your dashboard.
  • Check your device notification settings (Windows Settings or macOS System Settings)
  • Make sure "Do Not Disturb" mode is off
  • Verify your browser has notification permissions at the system level
  • Try disabling and re-enabling notifications in your dashboard
Notifications stopped working

This can happen if:

  • You cleared your browser data (cookies/cache)
  • Your browser updated and reset permissions
  • You reinstalled your browser

Solution: Go back to your dashboard and re-enable push notifications. The permission prompt should appear again.

I'm not receiving notifications on mobile

For iOS: Make sure you're using Safari (not Chrome or Firefox on iOS — they don't support web push yet). Also verify you added the site to your home screen.

For Android: Check that battery optimization isn't blocking your browser's notifications. Go to Settings → Battery → Battery Optimization and ensure your browser is not optimized (or set to "Don't optimize").
