From Greg Wischer at the United States Department of the Interior: “After eight years since its last repairs, the George Mason Memorial fountain was recently repaired and beautified. The fountain’s nozzles and controllers were all replaced, and the plaza surrounding the fountain was also rehabilitated, including cleaning of the George Mason statue and masonry work, as well as repairing and painting of the pergola. The first photo below shows the fountain, which is located on the north end of East Potomac Park. In the second photo below, the Washington Monument is in the background, and in the third photo below, the statue of George Mason is in the background.”
